Anniversary of the Pylos massacre

14-16 June 2024

International declaration and actions for the anniversary of the Pylos massacre

It was a crime, it was murder, the drowning of 600 refugees in the shipwreck off the coast of Pylos, Greece, on 14 June 2023.

We must finally put an end to the horrors of murder at the borders! All refugees are welcome with rights and not with persecution. No cover-up of the crime of Pylos, punish the murderers, vindication of the victims of the shipwreck of Pylos!

We support the mobilisation in Athens on 20 of May and in Kalamata on 21 May for the trial of the nine refugee survivors of the Pylos shipwreck.

We support the call for a demonstration in Athens on 14 June, one year after the crime of Pylos and we call for solidarity actions to be held internationally, where possible outside Greek embassies, over the weekend of 14-16 June.
